On May 15-17, the 17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition “Caspian Agro” was held at the Baku Expo Center. The Azersheker company also took part in the exhibition, bringing together about 450 companies representing 30 countries.
Azersheker LLC operates in the field of agriculture, horticulture, agricultural laboratories and processing areas in various regions of Azerbaijan using the latest technologies. Through its activities, the company plays an important role in ensuring food security in our country. At the three-day exhibition, Azersheker, Promalt and Agrolab presented the latest irrigation and farming technologies used in agriculture, the first barley processing complex currently under construction in the South Caucasus region, as well as laboratory services that meet modern requirements.
As part of the exhibition, visitors were introduced to Mzuri pro-till equipment, which cultivates land using strip-till technology that supports sustainable agriculture. The main advantage of “Mzuri” is that it performs 4 processes (deep softening, deep processing of fertilizers, precise sowing of different types of seeds and seeding with fixing wheels) simultaneously. The main purpose of using this technology is to save water and fuel, preserve the fertile soil layer and eliminate the effects of toxic gases released into the air.
Since 2019, Azersheker LLC has begun localizing malting barley as part of cooperation with Carlsberg Azerbaijan, the largest beer producer in the country. As a result of successful tests, malting barley was grown in accordance with international quality requirements, and from 2021 Carlsberg Azerbaijan switched to 100% domestic barley in production. In August 2023, the foundation of the first barley processing plant in the South Caucasus was laid by the companies Azersheker, Carlsberg Azerbaijan and Azersun Agricultural Production LLC. The plant, which at the initial stage will process 11,000 tons of beer barley (malt) per year and at the next stage - 17,000 tons, will fully meet the raw material needs of the largest beer producer in Azerbaijan - the Carlsberg Azerbaijan brewery, as well as producers , working in our country. The enterprise, investments in which will amount to 25 million manats, will provide permanent jobs. Once the plant starts operating, the import of these products will be stopped and more than 10 million dollars will remain in our country. More than 510 tons of feed additives will be available at the plant.
In February 2024, the first alcoholic product “Khirdalan 0.0”, produced in our country from malting barley grown in Yevlakh and Aghjabedi was presented to consumers.
Azersheker LLC - founded in 2017, is engaged in the production of various types of agricultural products by investing in agricultural land in different regions of the country. In the current sowing season, grains, sugar beets, cotton, mustard, soybeans and corn are cultivated on our farms with modern irrigation on 4579.5 hectares and a total of 6279.5 hectares. Since 2019, the company has been operating a modern agricultural laboratory Agrolab.
